► Picturebook without pictures, is a collection of photographs and illustrations sourced from the Internet. All these images have in common that they are used as a temporary placeholder all with the text; "no image available" or "no photo" etc. It's like René Magritte's famous painting "Ceci nest pas one pipe/ This is not a pipe". The text on the image tells us something else…

For this project Jasper Elings collected between 2005 - 2010 more than a few hundred photos, images and illustrations and bounded into a book.
